Position Overview: As a Pediatric and / or Orthodontic Registered Dental Assistant in our State-Of-The-Art Office, you will play a crucial role in delivering top notch dental care to our amazing patients.  We are looking for a candidate who is not only highly skilled but also deeply compassionate, a true Team Player, and dedicated to providing outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

Clinical Excellence: Assist our dual trained Pediatric and Orthodontic Dentist during dental procedures, ensuring efficiency and precision.  Maintain dental equipment and sterilize instruments to uphold the highest standards of infection control.  Capture high-quality records and maintain accurate patient information / notes, including digital xrays, CBCT and iTero scans.

Orthodontic Expertise (If Applicable): Assist and follow through with orthodontic procedures, including bonding of brackets, wire and bracket changes / adjustments, Invisalign deliveries and adjustiments, and the fitting of orthodontic appliances.  Educate patients on proper orthodontic care and maintenance.

Compassionate Patient Care: Establish trust and rapport with children and their families, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.  Explain dental procedures in an age-appropriate and reassuring manner, alleviating any fears or concerns.  Offer emotional support to anxious or nervous patients, fostering a positive dental experience.

Customer Service Focus: Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing inquiries with care and efficiency.

Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with our Dental Team, including Dr Tina, clinical assistants, and administrative staff, to ensure seamless patient care. Participate actively in Team Meetings and contribute to a harmonious work environment. 

Qualifications

  • Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) Certification: Must hold a valid RDA certification in accordance with state regulations. 
  • Pediatric or Orthodontic Experience: Previous experience in pediatric or orthodontic dental assisting is highly desirable but not required.
  • Empathy and Compassion: A genuine love for working with children and the ability to provide compassion
  • Clinical Competence: Proficiency in dental procedures, record taking, instrument handling. 
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Team Player: Willingness to collaborate and adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Position:

The position is part time or full time (up to 4 days a week from Mondays through Thursdays 8:30am to 5:30pm)

Compensation is very competitive and based on experience ($22 to $28/hr + Bonuses + Benefits)
