Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our Periodontal team on Tuesdays in our Morgan Hill office. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will be to perform dental cleanings and provide oral hygiene education. Duties:
- Perform periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planning, prophylaxis and implant maintenance
- Take dental x-rays for diagnostic purposes
- Conduct oral cancer screenings and assess overall oral health
- Administer local anesthesia as needed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and recommend appropriate dental products
Qualifications:
- Valid state license as a Registered Dental Hygienist
- Knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and treatment options
- Experience with electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix
- Ability to operate medical imaging equipment for dental x-rays
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
- Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills
