Responsibilities
- Preparing patients for dental work.
- Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up trays, preparing material, and assisting with dental procedures.
- Assisting dentists in managing medical and treatment emergencies when necessary.
- Providing excellent patient care.
- The recording of treatment information in patient records.
- Exposing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for x-ray equipment
- Educating patients on dental hygiene, oral health, and plaque control programs.
- Collecting and recording medical and dental history.
- Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.

To be successful in this position you will need
- Certification or associates degree in an accredited dental assisting program
- 1-3 years of experience working in a dental practice
- Excellent, clear, and concise verbal and written communication skills
