Job Description

Our outstanding dental practice is seeking an exceptional dental hygienist for an opportunity to join our dedicated team.

Who We Are
We are a small, family run, and all female dental office in SE Portland. We run a single column for hygiene 4 days a week.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for a Dental Hygienist to lend a helping hand while our full time hygienist is out on maternity leave for 3.5 months. Starting in August and through November. We are a single column hygiene schedule with one doctor and a family practice. We work Monday-Thursday 8:00-5:30 with one hour for lunch from 12:00-1:00.

Responsibilities

Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
Sterilize dental instruments and clean room to standardized guidelines
Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
Take X-rays
Maintain computerized documentation and charts on each patient
Monitor supplies
