We are a fast growing private dental practice looking for a "part time Dental Hygienist". Offering competitive benefits and pay for the right candidate to complement our amazing team.
Our office is located in Los Gatos with a friendly patient base. Our main focus is the quality of care and making our patients feel welcomed and satisfied. Safety of our staff and patients is our top priority and we have implemented extreme safety measures and protocols to navigate through this pandemic.
We are looking for a hygienist who is keen on educating patients about their oral diseases and hygiene instructions.
Previous experience is preferred, as well as experience with Dentrix software. The candidate is also required to have current CPR certification. We start our day at 9:00AM with a 1-hour lunch break. You are initially required to work 1 day per week (Thursdays preferred), with the possibility to extend to more days in the future.

Responsibilities
- Ensure patients safety and comfort
- Collect through medical and dental histories from patients
- Conduct initial extra/intra oral examination and check oral health history
- Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
- Be able to perform routine hygiene procedures such as Adult/ Child Prophy, Scaling & Root planing, Fluoride application in a timely manner
- Instruct patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene and care
- Chart dental conditions based on dentist's observations and evaluations
- Sterilize dental instruments and tools properly
- Take good quality X-rays and occasional dental impressions
- Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
- Monitor supplies
Skills
- Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene required
- Current California license required
- 1+ years' experience as a Dental Hygienist
- Basic understanding and knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules and OSHA regulations
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- A patient, passionate and warm personality
- Experience working with all age groups
- Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
- Current CPR certification required
