Job Description

We are located in downtown Sandy. Our office is a fun, outgoing, family friendly practice. We strive to provide excellent care and knowledge to our patients. We are looking for a part- time dental assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate would have good communication skills, work well with others, be able to solve problems, and be self-motivated.

Responsibilities would include

Assisting doctor for procedures (restorative, endo, oral surgery, etc.)
Sterilizing instruments
Computer skills including digital radiographs and practice management software (Dentrix)
Organized charting skills
Excellent clinical skills, expanded duties, x-rays
Disinfecting operatories
Take intra- oral pictures
Making temp crowns
Scanning in office crowns
Taking impressions
Reviewing medical history
Taking CT scans for guided Implants (we can train if you have never used a CT Machine)
Scheduling patients for future appointments
Help with ordering
Familiarity with all the instruments necessary for each procedure
Overall understanding of all aspects of the back office
Disinfection and sterilization skills
Have excellent communication skills to help with OHI instructions for patients
