Busy private practice in search of a skilled dental assistant to add to our team. Required hours are Monday-Thursday from 6:30am-3:00pm.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Prompt greeting and seating of patients
-Operatory set-up, tear-down and disinfection
-Taking impressions and pouring models
-Taking and recording of patient vitals
-Taking Pano, PA, and bitewing radiographs
-Assisting doctor chair-side
-Assisting hygienists with perio charting as needed
-Completing chart notes for doctor
-Weekly spore testing
-Sterilizing instruments
-Maintaining a neat and organized work space
-Weekly/Monthly equipment maintenance
-Helping our patients feel comfortable throughout their procedure
Skills/Certifications Required:
-2+ years assisting experience
-EFDA certified
-Sealant certified
-Experience assisting on the following procedures: Composite fillings, molar endo, 3rd molar extractions, implant placement and restoration, crown & bridge (CEREC experience a major plus), etc.
-Ability to take accurate impressions and pour models
-Ability to be flexible and work as a team
-Punctual
-Extroverted personality/ability to have a conversation with anyone
-Ability to keep doctor’s schedule running on time (prompt disinfection and setup of ops between patients)
-Ability to prioritize tasks
