HYGIENIST to join BEST WORK-FAMILY Dental Practice

We are a well-established, family dental practice providing all types of general and cosmetic dentistry to all ages of patients. We firmly believe in developing trusting relationships with our patients and providing them with any comforts that will make their experience positive. Many of our patients have been with us for generations. Smiles on Sandy is privately owned by brothers Dr. Jon and Dr. Brett Daby.

Our practice is located in our newly completed addition to our existing building. This is a state-of-the-art dental office building located on a Sandy Blvd, drawing patients and staff from throughout the metro area.

Our office strictly adheres to COVID guidelines for both patients and staff. This includes Governor Kate Brown's mandate that all health care workers will be required to be fully vaccinated by October 18 or six weeks after full FDA approval, whichever is later. We require all clinical staff to use N95s during treatment and we have invested in air purification units throughout the office, along with the many other recommended modifications. We take this virus, and the health of our staff and patients very seriously.

The position is for a general dentistry hygiene position to provide routine prophylactic hygiene treatment to healthy patients and to provide treatment for early and moderate periodontally involved patients with scaling and root planning. We offer the option of nitrous oxide for anxiolysis and would prefer that hygienists have a nitrous certificate, although this is not required.

The ideal candidate will have:

-Two years experience (flexible based on work ethic and learning aptitude)

-current RDH certificate in Oregon

-current nitrous certificate in Oregon preferred (not required)

-Dentrix experience preferred (not required)

-Typing skills

-Strong work ethic

-Unshakable professionalism

-Team-focused attitude with co-workers

The position is for one day to three days per week, day(s) of week are flexible, 8 am to 5 pm with lunch from 12-1. The position has potential for an additional day per week, if interested in more than three days. Benefits of full-time employment include 401k match, competitive compensation, and paid time off.
