Full-Time Hygiene Assistant

Well established family dental office in North Central Phoenix seeks an articulate, energetic and friendly individual to join our established team as a Full-Time Hygiene Assistant. Impeccable communication skills are a must! We strive to make each patient have the best experience possible. We are searching for someone who is willing to go the extra mile.
 
The position hours will be: Tues-Thurs 7am-4pm and Fri 7am-1pm.

Who We're Looking For 
-Minimum High School Diploma
-Computer Literacy
-Preferred 1 year of dental experience

-Experience in Dentrix a plus

-Must have positive references

-Must have excellent customer service skills and ability to create and maintain relationships

-Must be professional in appearance

-Must have a positive attitude

-Must have attention to detail

-Must be able to multitask and prioritize

 
Responsibilities:
The Hygiene Assistant’s primary responsibility is to provide complete assistance to the Hygienist, helping the Hygienist maintain schedule of patients. The Hygiene Assistant supports the clinical team by cleaning and sterilizing all instruments to be used in dental procedures, along with any instruments laid out for possible use.  May also assist the clinical team by setting up and providing instruments during prior to or during procedures.   May have administrative support duties as well

Essential Functions: 

· Assist Hygienist(s) and Doctor(s) with procedures and charting as necessary. 

· Must maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance in accordance with assigned schedule and time-off policies.

· Receptionist/Greeter responsibilities as needed.

· Take dental impressions for night guards and whitening trays. 

· Set-up and prepare dental equipment and instrumentation in accordance with established regulations and guidelines. 

· Take down and clean patient room after treatment as needed. 

· Ensure treatment areas are fully stocked. 

· Review Hygienists schedule and help maintain patient flow throughout the day. 

· Review patient chart (specifically continuing care needs) prior to Hygienist’s arrival and anticipate the hygienist’s needs for each patient. 

· Monitor hygiene schedules and help to fill cancellations internally and through recall. 

· Perform efficient and accurate procedures to help maintain Hygienist's schedule and patient flow. 

· Provide excellent customer service to help ensure a smooth and comfortable visit for the patient. 

· Adhere to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPPA laws and guidelines with regards to patient’s records. 

· Follow OSHA and company safety policies and procedures.

·   Maintain CPR certification.

· Other duties may be assigned.
