The Dental Hygienist will clean teeth and examine oral areas, head, and neck for signs of oral disease. The position also educates patients on oral hygiene, takes and develops x-rays, and applies fluoride or sealants and schedule patients next cleaning.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Cleans calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums using dental instruments.
· Examines gums using probes to locate periodontal recessed gums and signs of
gum disease. Feels lymph nodes under patient’s chin to detect swelling or
tenderness that could indicate the presence of oral cancer.

· Applies fluorides or other cavity-preventing agents to arrest dental decay.
· Exposes and develops x-ray film.
· Records and reviews patient medical histories. Charts conditions of decay and

Required Skills/Abilities:
· Knowledge of general principles of dentistry and advanced knowledge of dental

Education and Experience:
· Associate or advanced degree in Dental Hygiene plus, x-ray certified, OSHA trained
· State-required certificate/license with no stipulations
· Current CPR certification
Compensation:
· Pay starting $43 per hour willing to pay more for experienced Hygienist. EXTRA pay for evening hours.
· Benefits are effective after successfully completing 90 days.

Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of standing, leaning and bending.
