Dental Hygienist

Robert S. Nishikawa, DDS is an established fee for service, general dentistry practice based in West Los Angeles.  We are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist for Monday or Wednesday’s to join our dynamic team. Our practice has wonderful patients, an enthusiastic and friendly team: and a dentist dedicated to quality care.  The doctor has been honored with numerous awards for his excellence in dental care, and has an exceptional reputation amongst his peers and in the community.  Our patient’s recognize our team as leaders and educators in dentistry. The potential candidate must enjoy dentistry and have the same qualities our patient’s and peers expect; a positive and professional disposition, excellent clinical and communication skills, strong work ethic; and is able to collaborate with the doctor to make appropriate dental care decisions for our patients. 

 

Minimum 4 years experience in a dental practice

Current California RDH license

Meet continuing education requirements for RDH licensure

Possess current x-ray certification

Comply with all Safety, Emergency, Hazard, OSHA, Sterilization, Clinical, Quality Assurance and Administrative Plans, Guidelines, Protocol, and Standards.

Perform duties as workload necessitates and in accordance to licensed duties

Maintains a positive and respectful attitude

Communicates regularly with supervisor about the dental clinic issues

Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload

Report to work on time prepared to perform job duties

Meet dental clinic production standards

Update and keep all state licensure and accreditation by the commission on dental accreditation.

Maintain accurate record keeping on all dental hygienist related services performed

Maintain a clean and sterile work environment

Insure all health safeguards for patients including regular check-ups for blood borne pathogens 

Adhere to all radiological procedures, compliance with recommended aseptic techniques, and utilization of appropriate devices

Assists in preparing reports as needed

Participates in meetings as needed

Perform sterilization and disinfecting as required

Perform all hygiene duties as required by the Dental Board of California
