Brighter Way Institute is a 501c3 non-profit located in downtown Phoenix. Our mission is to provide comprehensive oral health care for vulnerable adults, veterans, those experiencing homelessness, and individuals with special needs.

Requirements and responsibilities of a dental surgical assistant at Brighter Way Institute:

Who We're Looking For
Requirements and responsibilities of a dental surgical assistant at Brighter Way Institute:
- Telephone and computer communications
- Presenting treatment options
- Presenting financial options/solutions for treatment plans
- Scheduling and tracking treatment
- Submitting and following up on insurance claims
- Provision of effective assistance to the active dentist during dental surgery
- Other duties may include monthly goal setting/tracking, monitoring aspects of practice numbers, future planning, marketing and medical billing
REQUIREMENTS
- Two years proven experience as a front office coordinator required; five years preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of dental terminology
- Understanding of health and safety regulations
- Capability of comforting and empathizing with patients in need
- Reliability and responsibility as it relates to attendance and job performance
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, and management
- Demonstration of pride in one's work and the services provided to patients
