Advanced Dentistry Services An up and coming dental office in Old Town Scottsdale. Looking for the perfect person to complete our clinical team. Our ideal candidate is someone that is willing to learn and grow in a fast-paced and expanding office, have outstanding verbal skills and be a team player. The office is currently open M, W, F and soon going to 5 days a week. Currently we are looking for a hygienist on full day Mondays, with potential of more. Salary is market rate and based on experience, hands-on interview and feedback from physicians. All candidates start off on a temporary basis with the potential of becoming full time after a few shifts. Experience: • Dental Hygienist: 1+ year (Required) Qualifications Requirements • RDH (Required) • Laser Certified or willing to be certified soon. • X-ray certified (Required) • Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills • A CPR certificate or willingness to become CPR certified within three months of employment Essential Responsibilities: 1. Take X-Rays 2. Pre-Screening patients for dental issues that need to be addressed and notifying patients of them. 3. Perform Prophy, SRP’s, Arestin, Sealants, Applying desensitizer, laser degranulation, laser bacteria reduction, and other commonly performed procedures by dental hygienists. 4. Stress importance of recall appointments and reappointing patients appropriately. 5. Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment 6. Assist the dentist during examinations 7. Record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patient 8. Assist in the oral health management of patients of the practice 9. Provide oral health education and counseling for all patients of the practice 10. Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining cpr certification, emergency drugs and oxygen supply, and directory of emergency numbers. 11. Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. 12. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 13. Promotes dental health by completing dental prophylaxis; providing oral cancer screening and radiographic studies; charting conditions of decay and disease; performing procedures in compliance with the dental practice act.
