Job Description
Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing them instruments and materials- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and tray setups for dental procedures- Take and record patients' vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse- Perform patient assessments and document medical history and chief complaints- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment- Assist with dental laboratory procedures, including pouring impressions and trimming models- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office's appointment calendar
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assistant program- X-ray certification required; knowledge of dental radiography techniques and safety protocols- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix- Strong knowledge of infection control procedures and sterilization techniques- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus- Familiarity with dental coding and billing processes is an asset

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
