Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant / Registered Dental Assistant to support our dental team and provide excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with various dental procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow, and creating a positive experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
- Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Prepare and review patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive measures.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing the office calendar.
- Ensure the dental office is clean, organized, and compliant with infection control protocols.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program preferred.
- Certification as a Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Assistant (CDA/RDA) preferred.
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role is a plus.
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology.
- Proficiency in taking dental radiographs and understanding radiographic safety.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with dental practice management software- Open Dental
- Knowledge of dental insurance and billing procedures.
