Job Description

We are a thriving general private practice in search of an experienced dental hygienist to add to our work family. Required hours are Monday - Thursday 6:30am-3:15pm (pt hours are 7-3). Hourly wage DOE. We offer FULL medical, dental, vision, and chiropractic benefits, as well as 401k with a company match, PTO, and paid CE.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Greeting and seating patients
Taking digital X-rays as needed
Periodontal probing
Reviewing med hx with all patients
Adult and Child Prophylaxis, Periodontal Maintenance, FMD, SRP's
Fluoride application
Sealant placement
Co-diagnosing and reinforcing treatment recommended by doctor
Diagnosing periodontal disease and educating patients on the disease process
Entering treatment plans into computer
Entering existing restorations into computer
Assisting doctor with exams
Communicating effectively with front office staff
Setting up and tearing down operatories
Sterilizing hygiene instruments
Restocking operatories
Sanitizing operatories
Dismissing patients and reinforcing importance of next recall
Reviewing charts in preparation for next day's patients
End of day clean-up (taking out garbages, turning off equipment, preparing operatory for next day)
Maintenance of hygiene operatory equipment
