Job Description

Our dental practice, located in Laguna Hills, CA is seeking a talented part-time Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our team! Our Registered Dental Hygienists perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. The primary role of the RDH is to assist the dentist in gaining the patient’s commitment to the best possible treatment while enhancing the practice’s culture and the patient-first mentality that we deeply believe in.

Part Time Hours: 3 days/week 7:45am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Familiar with scaling and root planning
• Be able to select and use appropriate fluoride treatments, laser bacterial reduction, and polish tooth restorations – also make sure patient is aware of benefits.
• Familiarity with Perio Protect trays is a plus!
• Be on the same page and assist in the prevention and control of dental caries (decay) and gum disease.
• Must have ability to read and review dental history and/or records from patients.
• Ability to educate patients regarding the importance of oral hygiene
• Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, FEHA, DOL, HR policies and practices)

Qualifications:

• Degree or certification for Hygiene from an accredited college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to meet state licensure requirements. Commitment to continuing education for hygiene and dentistry
• Valid and current Registered Dental Hygienist license in accordance with applicable state licensure requirements
