Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team by providing exceptional patient care and assisting with various clinical procedures. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about dentistry and committed to enhancing the patient experience.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow through effective four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and update medical records in compliance with practice protocols.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling, including follow-ups for pediatric dentistry patients.
Utilize advanced technology such as 3D scanners for imaging and impressions.
Support endodontics and prosthodontics procedures by preparing materials and instruments as needed.
Skills
Proficiency in using dental software systems, including Epic, for managing patient records and appointments.
Strong understanding of medical documentation practices within a dental setting.
Experience in assisting with various dental specialties, including pediatric dentistry, endodontics, and prosthodontics.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
