Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow through effective four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using Open Dental software.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as required, including answering phones and greeting patients.
Utilize 3D scanners for advanced imaging techniques when necessary.

Requirements

Previous experience in dental assisting or a related role is preferred, but new dental assistants welcome as long as you're willing to learn and give your best effort.
Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential.
Proficiency in using dental software such as Open Dental is highly desirable.
Knowledge of X-ray techniques and safety protocols is required.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate medical documentation.
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
