Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health is maintained through thorough assessments and treatments. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively with dentists and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures while adhering to aseptic techniques.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care.
Document patient treatments and progress accurately in Dentrix or other electronic health record systems.
Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and medical terminology relevant to the field.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and general dentistry practices.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and documentation review processes.
Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software systems is preferred.
Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on patient education and comfort.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Previous experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required.
