Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Take and record patients' vital signs - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment - Prepare materials for impressions and restorations - Take dental x-rays for the dentist's review - Provide post-operative instructions to patients - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records - Assist with scheduling and confirming appointments Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited dental assisting program - Knowledge of dental anatomy and medical terminology - Proficiency in using dental software (e.g., Epic) for patient documentation - Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
