Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. Responsibilities Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health. Perform patient assessments and document findings accurately in medical records. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care. Assist with chairside procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow during treatments. Utilize EMR systems for documentation review and patient records management. Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to aseptic techniques. Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care. Monitor vital signs as necessary during procedures. Stay updated on dental terminology, medical coding, and relevant regulations such as HIPAA. Skills Proficiency in Eaglesoft and Dentrix software is preferred. Experience in pediatric dentistry and understanding of pediatric patient care is a plus. Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Familiarity with medical imaging technologies and their application in dentistry. Strong understanding of anatomy related to oral health and general dentistry practices. Ability to maintain accurate documentation and manage medical records effectively. Experience in dental assisting or working within a dental clinic environment is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
