Little Bear Pediatric Dentistry – Malvern, PA www.littlebearpediatricdentistry.com Position Title: Dental Assistant Reports To: Dentist / Clinical Lead Key Responsibilities: · Assist dentist during patient treatment (hand instruments, suction, etc.) · Prepare operatories (set up trays, materials, sterilized instruments) · Take and develop digital dental X-rays (if trained/certified) · Apply topical anesthesia, etch, bond, cure, polish (as permitted by PA law) · Provide patient comfort and support (especially for pediatric patients) · Educate and provide post-op instructions to parents/patients · Clean and maintain operatories, including basic disinfecting · Help with inventory of clinical supplies and restocking · Assist other team members in overflow or support tasks Ideal Candidate Traits: · Punctual, dependable, and able to adapt in a busy pace · Resilient — can stay composed in a dynamic environment · Driven, with a desire to grow and learn · Flexible: willing to assist in varied tasks beyond strict assisting · Kind, respectful, patient, and team-oriented · Comfortable working with children, able to build rapport Preferred Qualifications / Experience: · Graduate of a dental assisting program or equivalent · Radiology certification (PA) preferred · Experience in pediatric or family dental practice is a plus · Basic computer skills, charting software usage Work Schedule: Full-time, with potential for variable hours to support practice needs.
