Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal assessments for patients. Conduct patient assessments to identify oral health issues and provide appropriate recommendations. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist the dentist with various procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency. Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatment plans and progress notes. Ensure all dental instruments are sterilized and prepared according to aseptic protocols. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities. Skills Proficient in four-handed dentistry techniques to assist effectively during procedures. Strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical terminology relevant to patient care. Ability to conduct comprehensive patient assessments with attention to detail. Familiarity with general dentistry practices and pediatric dentistry for diverse patient needs. Solid understanding of anatomy related to oral health and hygiene. Competent in maintaining aseptic techniques to ensure a safe treatment environment.
