Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our dentists and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This role involves various tasks including chairside assisting, managing patient records, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols Assist in the administration of pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when necessary Support various dental specialties including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics Requirements Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly desirable Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques is essential Familiarity with medical documentation, records management, and coding practices is a plus Ability to perform chairside assisting duties effectively while maintaining patient comfort Strong understanding of infection control measures in a dental environment Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients on treatment plans and oral health care Certification in radiology or willingness to obtain certification if required by state law A passion for providing quality care in pediatric dentistry is an advantage Join our team and contribute to creating beautiful smiles while advancing your career in the dental field.
