Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology, along with the ability to provide exceptional patient care. This role involves assisting dentists during various treatments, managing patient records, and ensuring a clean and organized clinical environment. Experience in pediatric dentistry is highly valued, as we cater to a diverse patient demographic. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring optimal patient comfort and care. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and maintaining an aseptic environment. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols. Manage patient records using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Perform chairside assisting duties, including four-handed dentistry techniques. Monitor vital signs and assist in medical documentation as required. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and ensure the clinic is well-stocked. Uphold infection control standards in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Experience Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred, with familiarity in general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Proficient in using EMR systems; knowledge of Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is a plus. Understanding of medical terminology, dental terminology, and anatomy knowledge essential for effective communication within the team. Experience with medical imaging techniques and 3D scanners is advantageous. Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques is required for maintaining a safe clinical environment.
