Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Duluth, GA

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist with various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in the clinic's systems. Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and following up on visits. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Monitor vital signs as necessary during procedures to ensure patient safety. Provide support in endodontics procedures when required. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure seamless patient flow within the clinic. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental software is a plus. Knowledge of medical records management and dental clinic operations is advantageous. Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques, including taking vital signs and performing basic clinical tasks. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory.
