Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide essential support in a dental clinic environment, assisting the dentist during procedures and ensuring a positive experience for our young patients. Your expertise in pediatric dentistry and familiarity with dental systems will be crucial in delivering high-quality care. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols. Take medical imaging, including X-rays, and operate 3D scanners as needed. Manage patient records using Dentrix and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Educate patients and their families on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Provide comfort to children during treatments, addressing their concerns and making them feel at ease. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering when necessary. Support the front office with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow. Requirements Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and equipment, including X-ray systems. Proficiency in infection control standards within a dental environment. Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software systems is a plus. Strong communication skills, particularly in interacting with children and their guardians. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
