Overview Newtown Family Dentistry is growing and is seeking a full time dental assistant to join our team in Bear, Delaware. We are seeking a dedicated, out-going, friendly, and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice! Schedule : Monday-Thursday (7:30am - 5:15pm) w/ one hour lunch Benefits : Paid vacation, Paid PTO, Paid holidays, 401K w/match, Medical Health Reimbursement Account, paid dental care Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile environment. Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment for use. Take digital xrays, panorex, and 3D/CBCT images. Take blood pressure and update patient medical records accurately Provide chairside assistance in various dental procedures: implant dentistry, endodontics, operative dentistry, pediatric dentistry, removable and fixed prosthodontics, and periodontics Learn/use Eaglesoft software and Dexis imaging software Take impressions and use digital scanner for digital impressions Administer nitrous oxide Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental office and treatment areas. Qualifications Current Delaware X-ray Certification necessary Highly professional and dependable Excellent customer service skills Team player Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental procedures Familiarity with dental implants, endodontics, pediatric dentistry and nitrous oxide use is a plus.
