Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Azusa, CA

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant or Dental Assistant to join our new dental office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, assisting with various procedures, and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Fluency in Spanish and dental terminology is required.
We are currently looking for a part-time position for the following days: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. With the opportunity to transition to a full time position.
Duties
- Assist dentist during examinations and all procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques. Fabricating temorary crowns, coronal polished, and other RDA specific tasks.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take digital X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including dental receptionist tasks.
- Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging when required.
- Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control measures within the clinic.
Skills
Candidates should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in Cloud Based office management software, such as Oryx
- Must be fluent in Spanish
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures related to general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and medical terminology.
- Experience with 3D scanners and other advanced dental technology is a plus.
- Familiarity with dental ada coding, medical records management, and documentation practices.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
