Looking for a bubbly, quick-learning dental assistant to join our growing team! We are a quality-oriented, private practice in Westchester near LAX.
Applicants must be go-getters with the ability to take their own initiative while being adaptable team-players.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients with smile!
- Take digital x-rays in an accurate and timely manner
- Stay one step ahead of the doctor's and office needs
- Schedule appointments, input data, and document clinical notes in Dentrix
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed
- Sterilize instruments
- Assist the doctor with exams, fillings, crowns, root canals, extractions, removable prosthetics, implant placement and restorations
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed
- Keep the dental rooms clean and well-stocked
- Willingness to assist front desk when needed
*We are willing to train you to use our Itero intraoral scanner for restorative procedures and Invisalign treatment
Skills
- Proven experience as dental assistant
- Dentrix proficiency
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- Multitasker with adaptability
- High school diploma; graduation from dental assistant school
