Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental professionals during Orthodontic procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of Orthodontics and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist dentists during Orthodontic procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Conduct chairside assisting, including preparing patients for treatment and providing post-operative care instructions. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging when necessary. Utilize 3D scanners for dental impressions as required. Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to manage patient flow and scheduling efficiently. Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices.
