Permanent Dental Assistant Job in La Mirada, CA
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team for 3 days on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. Responsibilities: - Assist dentists with various dental procedures, including general dentistry, implant surgery, root canal treatments and four-handed dentistry - Monitor patients' vital signs and maintain accurate records - Operate dental equipment, including 3D scanners - Implement infection control measures to ensure a clean and safe environment - Maintain dental clinic supplies and manage inventory - Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments - Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records - Collaborate with the dental receptionist to coordinate patient flow - Maintain anatomy knowledge to understand dental procedures and patient needs - Use Open Dental software to manage patient information - Provide exceptional patient care and maintain a welcoming atmosphere Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required - Completion of a dental assisting program or relevant experience - Certification in dental assisting or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Strong anatomy knowledge and understanding of dental procedures - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Proficiency in Open Dental software and other dental software - Familiarity with 3D scanners and vital signs monitoring - Ability to maintain infection control standards - Physical stamina to perform duties in a seated or standing position for extended periods - Availability to work on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday for 8 hours each day and 24 hours weekly.
