Job Overview As a Dental Assistant, you will be an essential part of our dynamic dental team, providing exceptional support to both our patients and dental professionals. Your role will encompass a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth operation of our dental clinic, from chairside assisting to managing medical documentation. Youâll play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for patients while delivering top-notch care in line with best practices. What youâll do Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Take X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety standards and HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems Practiceworks, ensuring accuracy in medical documentation. Provide chairside support in various specialties including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and periodontics Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term health. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging as needed during patient visits. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently. Basic qualifications Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy. Familiarity with EMR systems, including Practiceworks, for effective medical coding and record management. Preferred qualifications Experience in a dental clinic setting with hands-on dental assisting experience. Proficiency in using 3D scanners for imaging purposes is a plus.
