Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your skills and enthusiasm will make a significant impact on patient care and comfort! In this rewarding role, you will support our dental professionals in delivering exceptional services while ensuring a welcoming environment for patients. Your expertise in various dental procedures and technologies will be essential in helping us maintain the highest standards of care. What youâll do Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available. Take and develop X-rays, while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and assist with medical documentation to ensure accurate medical records. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care, fostering a positive patient experience. Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Fuse for efficient patient management. Support pediatric dentistry by creating a friendly atmosphere for young patients and assisting with their specific needs. Maintain infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe clinical environment. Basic qualifications Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures is essential for effective communication within the team. Preferred qualifications Experience with medical coding, medical imaging, and familiarity with 3D scanners is highly desirable. Background in general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, or pediatrics will be advantageous. Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
