Dual trained LEAD Orthodontic/Pediatric Dental Assistant - Bloom Pediatric Dentistry + Orthodontics - Fairfax, VA

We're are a newly established ortho/Pedo start up practice located near Merrifield area in Fairfax. We are looking for a friendly, professional and skilled lead pedo/ortho assistant. The most important qualities for us is being a team player and having great communication skills. (Please read below) Clinical duties: MUST have an experience of at least 2 yrs Comfortable doing basic orthodontic adjustment Bonding, bracket repair and debonding Records taking (Photos, Ceph and Pano) Experience with 3D scanner Working directly with patients during hygiene appointments Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental rooms clean and well-stocked Maintain accurate digital patient records and taking x-rays Participate in marketing campaigns for the office Inventory existing supplies Ordering Skills: Enjoy working with children Good attention and organization skills Proactive Reliable Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Good computer skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma required; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred X-ray Certification preferred Spanish speaking is a plus! but not a must. MOST importantly, a good team player and professional!
