Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure infection control, and support the delivery of high-quality dental care. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment utilizing advanced dental technology and systems, including EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic. The Registered Dental Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining patient comfort and safety while supporting the clinical team in various procedures across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures with proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques and infection control standards are maintained Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed Record patient vital signs, medical history, and other relevant medical documentation accurately within EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic Manage patient flow efficiently by greeting patients, updating medical records, and scheduling appointments as needed Educate patients on oral health care instructions and post-treatment care Maintain dental supplies inventory and sterilize instruments according to infection control guidelines Support pediatric dentistry procedures with specialized knowledge of pediatric dental terminology and techniques Assist with administrative tasks related to medical coding and documentation while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care delivery in general dentistry settings Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent licensure Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with proficiency in chairside assisting and dental assisting techniques Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic or similar platforms for managing medical records and documentation Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, anatomy, dental terminology, and medical terminology Experience with X-ray procedures, including digital imaging and 3D scanning technologies Ability to perform vital signs assessment and assist with various dental procedures across multiple specialties including prosthodontics and endodontics Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and work collaboratively within a team environment Pediatric dentistry experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Join our team to contribute your expertise in providing compassionate patient care while working with state-of-the-art technology in a supportive environment.
