Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in La Junta, CO
Overview: PRN position; seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to assist in expedited hygiene only days. Hygienist will be provided an experienced dental assistant Hours: One or two days per week; 8 hour work days; flexible schedule and hours Duties: - Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, probings - Conduct thorough hygiene assessment - Take and develop dental x-rays - Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical documentation systems (Dentrix) - Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care - Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment Experience: - Must have a valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of Colorado - Proficient in medical documentation and record keeping - Experience with patient assessment, including vital signs monitoring - Familiarity with pediatric dental care is preferred Job Type: Part-time Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour Benefits: Flexible schedule Work Location: In person
