Overview We are seeking a motivated Trainee Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring aseptic techniques are followed Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates Capture and process dental X-rays and other medical imaging as required Assist with patient intake, including medical history documentation and explaining procedures Maintain infection control standards by following proper sterilization protocols and safety procedures Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and updating medical records Educate patients on dental terminology, procedures, and post-treatment care Support general dentistry procedures across pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialties as needed Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Basic understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical documentation and patient privacy Ability to perform X-ray procedures following safety protocols Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Good communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion This Trainee Dental Assistant position offers valuable training in dental assisting techniques, medical imaging, patient care, and office management.
