About the Job: Radiant Smiles Dental & Implant Center is a brand new, state-of-the-art, private dental office and is currently seeking a full-time/part-time registered dental assistant to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop dental X-rays and utilize 3D scanners for diagnostic purposes. Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Record vital signs and medical history accurately prior to procedures. Maintain infection control standards through proper aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures. Provide chairside assistance with dental terminology and medical documentation to ensure accurate record keeping. Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions. Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and assisting with billing or coding as needed. Ensure the clinic environment adheres to safety protocols and infection prevention standards. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting; experience with dental assisting is essential. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly desirable. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control procedures, aseptic technique, and medical imaging including X-ray technology. Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology related to dentistry. Ability to perform chairside assisting across various specialties including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Experience with 3D scanners and medical coding is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical documentation and records. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with team members. Certification in radiography or X-ray certification preferred; CPR certification is a plus. Qualifications Active Florida RDA license required Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general or surgical dentistry Proficient with digital charting and dental software Knowledge of infection control and OSHA standards Exceptional communication and patient care skills Positive, team-oriented attitude Schedule: · Full-time position (Monday-Wednesday & Friday, every other Saturday). · Exact hours vary depending on office schedule.
