Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated, reliable and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support dental practitioners in delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring efficient clinic operations, and maintaining a safe and sterile environment. This role requires strong knowledge of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and familiarity with dental software systems. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in patient comfort, clinical support, and administrative tasks within our modern dental practice. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring proper safety measures. Record vital signs and medical history information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems, Denticon experience is a plus! Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical documentation, and scheduling appointments Provide chairside assistance during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency. Ensure proper handling of medical imaging and documentation while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral health care instructions and post-treatment care procedures. Track inventory and order supplies Maintain the cleanliness and sterilization of all dental instruments and work areas according to infection control standards. Support the administrative team when needed Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic is required Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices is essential. Experience with X-ray procedures, CBCT and Itero scanning Certification or training in chairside assisting, aseptic technique, or related fields is advantageous.
