Job Description: Our practice is searching for an outgoing, caring, and detail oriented dental hygienist to join our growing team in January. In this role, you will help us provide high-quality care to our expanding patient base through preventative treatment, patient education, and co-diagnosis alongside the dentist and the rest of the team. The ideal candidate values long term patient relationships, communicates clearly, and enjoys collaborating with a supportive team to make a meaningful impact on the oral health of our community. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive preventative and periodontal care including diagnostics, prophies, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing Review medical and dental histories Performing good clinical evaluations which include oral cancer screenings, perio charting, and clinical findings Taking high quality radiographs and intraoral photos Application of preventative agents such as fluoride varnish, sealants, and non-surgical periodontal therapies when indicated Educate patients of all ages on home care, periodontal disease, caries risk, and the link between oral and systemic health Collaborate with the dentist to co-diagnose, review findings, treatment plan, and recommend and present treatment to patients in an easy to understand manner Maintain accurate and high quality clinical notes Follow infection control and sterilization protocols Help manage hygiene recall appointments to keep our patients on track with their oral care Participate in team meetings, CE, and practice improvement efforts to support a positive patient-centered office culture.
