Position Overview: As a Surgical Assistant at Northern Arizona Periodontics, you will play a vital role in supporting our doctors and delivering top-quality care to our patients. We value both experienced dental professionals and individuals who are eager to enter the field and grow. Prior dental assisting experience and X-ray certification are preferred but not required; if not certified, X-ray certification must be obtained within the first three months of employment. Key Responsibilities: Assist the periodontist during surgical procedures, for seamless & efficient workflow Prepare treatment plans to be reviewed and presented by our treatment coordinators Set-up treatment rooms, instruments, & materials for surgical procedures Maintain cleanliness and sterility of dental instruments and equipment. Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene. Take dental X-rays as needed Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation. Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring comfort during procedures. Collaborate with the dental team to a high standard of care. Willingness to work in both Sedona and Cottonwood locations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.
