Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our dental professionals. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment. This position reports to the Lead Assistant. The Dental Assistant supports the quality control of the back office. Duties Greet and escort patients to the appropriate operatory Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as required. Take CBCT (3D image) scan as required. Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Break down and clean/sterilize operatory after each assist. Set up for the next day (operatories and trays). Stock rooms as needed. Coordinate with Lead Assistant for daily tasks. Maintain the use of technology and any new training programs. Assist with entering notes in patient chart during a procedure. Check all equipment, including computers, are shut down before leaving. Answer call overflow. Assist with any other tasks assigned by doctors or office manager. Report to Office Manager/Insurance Coordinator if Lead Assistant is not present Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a Dental Assistant preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Customer service experience preferred. Hours This job is for four days during the week and Saturdays (are a must). Hours vary based on the needs of the office.
