Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Muncie, IN
Key Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and root planing Conduct oral health assessments and chart conditions of teeth and gums Take dental radiographs (X-rays) Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and home-care practices Assist dentists during examinations and procedures as needed Record and maintain patient medical and dental histories Administer local anesthesia (where permitted by state regulations) Sterilize instruments and maintain infection-control standards Communicate effectively with patients and the dental team Required Skills & Qualifications State-approved dental hygiene license Knowledge of dental software, radiographic, and sterilization equipment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and ability to work independently Compassionate, patient-focused approach Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: From $44.00 per hour Work Location: In person
