Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and handle all front desk duties with enthusiasm, including answering multi-line phone systems and scheduling appointments using dental office management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and manage insurance claims processing using systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Maintain accurate medical and dental records within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as eClinicalWorks or Meditech, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist patients with intake procedures, collect co-pays, and review documentation for completeness and accuracy Manage medical billing processes including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and medical collection efforts to ensure timely payments Support documentation review for care plans, treatment authorizations, and medical records requests with meticulous attention to detail Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette while handling appointment rescheduling, patient inquiries, and follow-up calls in a professional manner Experience Prior clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred; familiarity with dental terminology and office procedures is essential Proven background in medical administrative support or medical receptionist roles with strong clerical skills Experience working with EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms; proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word and Excel Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and medical coding practices including CPT codes and ICD coding (ICD-9/10) Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations Demonstrated ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards Strong organizational skills with experience managing medical records filing, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and documentation review Join us in delivering outstanding patient service through energetic support and meticulous administrative care.
