Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Merritt Island, FL
Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments - Take and develop dental x-rays - Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Perform dental charting and update medical records - Conduct patient assessments and record vital signs - Assist with pediatric dental procedures - Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment - Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited dental assisting program - X-ray certification required - Knowledge of medical coding and documentation - Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for digital impressions - Experience with electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic) - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the responsibilities and qualifications for the position of Dental Assistant.
