Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Irving, TX
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting and a passion for orthodontics. The Orthodontic Assistant will work closely with the orthodontist to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience. Pay is based on experience ; please send your resume for review. This position will require some traveling ( locations to be discussed during interview) Responsibilities - Prepare patients for orthodontic treatment by taking the necessary Xrays - Assist the orthodontist during appointments, including the use of four-handed dentistry - Maintain infection control protocols in the office, including proper handling and disposal of instruments and equipment. - Operate a 3D scanner to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of orthodontic cases. - Provide general dentistry and orthodontic support to the orthodontist and other dental professionals. - Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress. - Perform other tasks as requested by the orthodontist or other dental professionals. Experience - Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant or in a related field is required. - A strong understanding of dental anatomy and the principles of orthodontics is essential. - Certification as a dental assistant or a degree in dental assisting is required. - The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and to multitask is necessary.
