Job Description

The Treatment Coordinator’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: § Close and/or assist in closing the treatment plans generated by the doctor § Take responsibility for the entire patient base and work toward having no patients with incomplete treatment plans. § Educate the patient about treatment and related diagnosis/prognosis § Review fees and payment options with patients § Input treatment records and supplement information into computer § Professionally and accurately present treatment plans to patients after doctor’s exam § Educate and assist patients throughout treatment process including financial arrangements, medical clearance and scheduling treatment § Contact patient’s insurance company for pre-authorization/pre-determination § Request medical clearance from patient’s physician § Follow-up with patients to ensure treatment is provided in a timely manner It is through execution of these important responsibilities that the treatment coordinator will help our patients obtain the best treatment available. Please note that the applicant for this position will also be cross-trained to perform the duties of a front desk administrator: § Check in/out patients from appointments. § Greet visitors warmly and make sure they are comfortable. § Gather personal and insurance information. § Perform basic bookkeeping, filing, and clerical duties. § Update appointment calendars. § Schedule follow-up, hygiene, and dental emergency appointments.
