PART-TIME HYGIENIST NEEDED FOR AWESOME DENTAL PRACTICE LOCATED IN COTTONWOOD, AZ! Cottonwood Smiles is now seeking a positive, motivated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing dental practice in Cottonwood, AZ! Job Responsibilities: - Evaluate overall health, examining oral cavity for signs of periodontal disease or possible cancers, including sores, recessed or bleeding gums, and oral lesions. - Document dental history of chief complaint, record and report pertinent observations and patient reactions to dental staff, as appropriate, document lab procedures and ensure follow-up on results - Prepare patients for oral examination, and assist other dental professionals in providing treatment - Ensure follow through with oral hygiene procedures in accordance with treatment plans. Procedures may include prophylaxis, periodontal scaling, root planing, debridement, application of fluoride treatments, application of protective sealants, and other hygiene procedures as needed for oral health restoration and maintenance - Educate and counsel patients on dental health, plaque control, oral hygiene, and nutrition Due to the complex nature of this position we ask all our applicants to meet the following minimum requirements: - BS in Hygiene or Certification from an Accredited College or Technical School, Required - 1-2 Years of Experience as a Dental Hygienist, Preferred - Current CPR Certification - Ability to prepare dental equipment and instruments - Excellent working knowledge of overall dentistry and dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation - Strong commitment to continuing education for Hygiene and General Dentistry - Dentrix/Ascend experience a plus Weekly Schedule: Part-Time Position – 2 Days/Week – Ideally Mondays and Fridays If you are looking to find a dental home where you can be a part of a dynamic and successful team, then look no further, apply today!
